Jolien makes mental health speakable through art.

The number of people facing mental health issues is growing. Among young people who are stuck. Among adults who are overwhelmed. Among healthcare professionals burning out. At the same time, something else is growing. Something meaningful. Something impactful.

Globally, the awareness is growing that art strengthens mental health. More and more places are opening their doors to create space for meaning, slowing down, and resilience in a fast-paced world. Because art helps us find the words that give meaning, where language falls short. Because it comforts, inspires, and connects. Because it helps us to be human.

The more urgent it becomes, the stronger the will to change. But imagination needs structure. And good intentions need direction. That’s where I step in.

As a Trailblazer

I work on systemic change where art is not an addition to mental health strategies,
but in its core.

As Speaker

I bring the positive impact of art in mental health to life by bridging science, practice and policy with clarity, urgency and action.

As a Creator

I develop art interventions that strengthen mental health by combining science and meaning in experiences that touch and create space.

In co-creation. For impact. With SpaceMakers, Kindred Minds, CriticalThinkers, Groundbreakers and Mental Landscape Builders.
